I know I'm not that active around here, nor that I have many watchers, though I've found something quite neat and solved to share it with people around here.

Most of you know GIMP and Blender as the workhorses of digital creation in free software (and open source) world.

However Blender is more dedicated to 3D stuff (with lots of capabilites, quite scary), while GIMP is quite good in technical stuff, but it can complicate some stuff for beginners.

There are a few alternatives, but when looking for something like ArtRage or the likes I could not find anything that would work as well... that is ... until now .... I've found Krita ... If you did not know about it, go check it!

It is available for MacOS, Linux and Windows, it is free and open source, if you're running Ubuntu (14.10 in my case), it is available from the default repositories/Software Center (though, if you want the latest you need to set a new repository).

Happy drawing :3
